The extra wire is the reverse light and needs to be spliced in separately. It is suitable for 12V cars and pickup trucks. The product comes with a universal 4-pin plug assembly that can be wired into the vehicle's existing wiring harness. If your truck does not have a 4-pin plug assembly, you will need to find an extra adapter to convert it to a 4-pin.

The tailgate light bar features a total of 432 high-brightness LED beads, providing greater brightness so that the cars behind you can see your movements more clearly. With an IP67 waterproof rating and silicone-sealed ends on the strip, the light bar can withstand harsh weather conditions and perform well on all off-road terrains.
